On October 7th, 2016 it was the official opening of the retrospective exhibition of Tsanko Lavrenov in the Plovdiv city art gallery. The exposition called "Between the Modern and the Canon" is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the great Bulgarian artist. After the huge success of the event of the same name, realised earlier this year in Sofia city art gallery, this is the second of its kind and large dimenssions exhibition of the artist. Till the end of the month the citizens and the guests of Plovdiv will have the opportunity to enjoy this unique collection including over 150 original artworks and archives of Lavrenov. Organizers of the events both in Sofia and Plovdiv are the two cities' art galleries and Tsanko Lavrenov Foundation.
