Preslav Karshovski
Preslav Karshovski was born on April 7, 1905 in Sofia. He graduated in Painting and Graphics at the Art Academy (1927) in the class of professors Tseno Todorov and Vasil Zahariev.
Performed in the field of scenography in Plovdiv and Varna. He taught "Poster" at the Art Academy. He is one of the initiators of the creation of the Sofia City Art Gallery, as well as the National Art Gallery. Karshovski was the first director of National Art Gallery (1950-1957). He also initiated the creation of the Union of Artists' Societies in Bulgaria. He was his secretary for a long time.
Works with almost all painting and graphic techniques. Participates in group art exhibitions in Bulgaria, European countries, USA. He creates illustrations, engravings, he is a master of the ex-calibre.
